On the evening of September 12, 2016, 41-year-old Shawn March was fatally shot in Savannah, Georgia. After the shooting, the vehicle March was driving struck an unoccupied house at Meding and 61st streets. First responders found him with life-threatening injuries; he was taken to Memorial University Medical Center and died shortly after arrival.

Savannah-Chatham Metro Police Violent Crimes detectives opened a homicide investigation and asked the public for help in establishing the exact location of the shooting and identifying any suspects. No arrests have been announced, and the case is now treated as a cold case. Little else is publicly known about what led to the shooting or who was involved.
