In the early morning hours of Sunday, October 13, 2024, Tyler O’Bryan Littlejohn, 29, was shot and killed in the Limestone Square parking lot in downtown Gaffney, South Carolina. The shooting occurred shortly before 2 a.m.; City of Gaffney officers arrived after a call at 1:58 a.m. and found Littlejohn in the lot with multiple gunshot wounds. The Cherokee County coroner, Dennis Fowler, pronounced him dead at the scene and an autopsy was planned.

Reports say Littlejohn had been at Baller’s Lounge on Birnie Street earlier that night with a woman. After they returned to the parking lot, witnesses described a verbal and physical altercation between Littlejohn and a woman seated in the back of a vehicle, during which multiple gunshots were fired.

Investigators identified and arrested 26-year-old Jondaijah Driana McNeil on murder and weapon charges; a bond hearing for McNeil was held in November 2024. If anyone witnessed the confrontation in the Limestone Square lot or has information about what happened, please share what is known.
