Paul Gilbert Higgins, 38, was one of three men killed in a shooting on the evening of Friday, September 27, 2024, in a wooded area off Griffin Road in Woodruff, South Carolina. The other deceased were Jeremy Faulkner, 34, of Woodruff, and Nicolas Long, 22, of Greenville. A fourth person suffered a non-life-threatening gunshot wound and was taken to a hospital in a personal vehicle before deputies arrived.

Witnesses and family members at the scene told investigators the deadly confrontation began during an argument about who had permission to hunt on that parcel of land. The Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office led the investigation into the triple homicide. No identity for the injured fourth person has been released.

Does anyone have information about that property, who had hunting rights there, or who was present that night that could help fill in the gaps?
