Pamela Brockman, 60, was fatally shot after a dispute on Ross Road in Spartanburg, South Carolina. The shooting happened on the evening of Friday, June 28, 2024; Brockman was taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries and died there on Sunday, June 30.

Spartanburg County deputies identified and arrested 63-year-old Barbara Ann White in connection with the incident. White was initially charged with attempted murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime; authorities later announced the charges would be upgraded to murder after Brockman’s death. Motive and the nature of the relationship between Brockman and White have not been made public.
