Ron Dale Riggins was 34 when he was killed in his home on Kingcrest Drive in Loris, South Carolina, late on the night of Friday, December 15, 2023. Family identified him as a father and life partner who lived with Sherelda S. Grate and was father to four children: daughters Ron'Dazia Riggins and Ra'Nayia Grate, and sons Ron Dale Riggins, Jr. and Ronrizquez Riggins.
Police found Riggins inside the house shortly after 11 p.m., shot several times and without a pulse. The death was later ruled a homicide. Investigators recovered a cell phone at the scene belonging to 25-year-old Franklin Donte' Lemar Vereen-Price; a forensic review of the device reportedly revealed messages between Vereen-Price and 24-year-old Sean Louis Page that allegedly discussed a plan to rob Riggins. Witness statements and phone records placed both men at or near the residence that night, leading authorities to identify them as primary suspects.
What details about that evening might still help clarify who was at the house or what happened there?
