Shaquan Malik Logan, 28, was found shot to death near the intersection of Seminole Road and Cone Street in Sumter, South Carolina, on the night of November 26, 2023. Deputies from the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office discovered his body with multiple gunshot wounds and opened a homicide investigation.

Within days investigators arrested two Sumter residents. On November 30, 2023, 20-year-old Lamont Terrell Ortiz-Bossie was charged with murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime and was held at the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office Detention Center without bond. Twenty-one-year-old Savannah Desaire Patrick was charged with accessory after the fact to a felony and held on a $10,000 cash bond. Both were reportedly out on bond for unrelated prior charges at the time of the homicide.
