Anthony Rashod Major, 34, was fatally shot in a drive-by attack outside his home on Patricia Drive in Sumter, South Carolina, on the evening of Sunday, July 30, 2023. Emergency responders were called about 10:45 p.m.; he was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Sumter County Sheriff’s Office opened a homicide investigation and appealed for public help in the days that followed. Authorities offered a reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction, but no arrests or suspects have been publicly announced and the case remains under investigation.
