A quiet morning in Eutawville, South Carolina, was shattered on July 27, 2023, when 22-year-old Na’Quan Kahlez White was shot and killed outside a residence between about 6 a.m. and 7 a.m. White, a resident of nearby Holly Hill who had celebrated his 22nd birthday two days earlier, was pronounced dead at the scene.

An arrest was made the same evening: 23-year-old Siera Cheyene Dangerfield of Eutawville was taken into custody and later charged in connection with White’s death; the specific charges have not been detailed. Na’Quan, known as Quan to his family, graduated from Ashley Ridge High School in 2020 and worked as a forklift driver at a Walmart Distribution Center.
