Antonio Bethea, a Black/African American man from Marion, South Carolina, was shot and killed on June 30, 2023, in what authorities describe as an act of domestic violence. His wife, Connie Denise Bethea, age 50 at the time, was arrested at the scene and charged with murder and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime.

Hours before the shooting, Connie Bethea reportedly broadcast a live video on Facebook; police later took her into custody and the legal process is ongoing. The community said it had been largely unaware of serious conflict in the marriage, and questions remain about what led to the fatal encounter and the events immediately beforehand.

If anyone knew Antonio or saw anything connected to the case around June 30, 2023, please share information with investigators.
