On June 23, 2023, a dispute at the Money Saver gas station on High Market Street in Georgetown, South Carolina, ended with 37-year-old Reginald Green fatally shot and found lying in the parking lot. Law enforcement quickly identified three people connected to the case. Police named 21-year-old Keon Spann as the person wanted for murder and said he allegedly fired the weapon that killed Green; Spann had fled and was considered armed and dangerous.
Two others, 20-year-old Mantasia Coakley and 20-year-old Jaheem Johnson, were arrested and charged with accessory after the fact to murder and were denied bond at a bond hearing. The community remains focused on answers after Green’s death. If anyone has information about what happened that night or Spann’s whereabouts, please come forward.
