On the evening of November 7, 2024, 25-year-old Dominique C. Fields was found in the 5800 block of Nottinghill Drive in Chesterfield, Virginia, suffering multiple gunshot wounds. She was taken to a local hospital and died of her injuries. Responding officers arrived after a report of a shooting at about 5:54 p.m.

Investigators say the case quickly pointed to a domestic dispute. Authorities identified 31-year-old Quadry B. Campbell as the suspect; Campbell and Fields were in a romantic relationship and shared a home on Nottinghill Drive. Campbell was located and arrested in Chesterfield County on November 8, 2024, with assistance from the U.S. Marshals Service Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force. He faces charges of second-degree murder and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.
