In the early morning hours of October 13, 2024, a welfare check at a Hanson Grove Court home in Manassas, Virginia, uncovered the bodies of 45-year-old Joshua Lee Davis and his wife, Nicole Wanda Lynn Davis in the residence’s basement apartment. Both had been fatally shot; the couple had been renting the basement space from the homeowner.

Investigators focused on a 49-year-old resident of the house, Amandeep Singh. Detectives say that the day before the bodies were found Singh was involved in a violent domestic dispute with two female family members, aged 50 and 53, in the upstairs portion of the home. During that altercation Singh allegedly held the women at gunpoint, fired a weapon near them, physically assaulted one and attempted to strangle the other; the women escaped and did not immediately report the incident.

Authorities believe Singh then went into the basement and shot Joshua and Nicole Davis, who were not thought to have been involved in the earlier dispute. Singh fled to New Jersey seeking the family members who had escaped; New Jersey authorities detained him after family contacted them and relayed information prompted the welfare check. Singh was arrested and charged with two counts of murder and multiple weapons and assault-related charges and was being held in New Jersey awaiting extradition to Virginia.

If anyone knew Joshua or Nicole, or has information about their time at the Hanson Grove Court residence, please share what you know.
