On the morning of Sunday, March 17, 2024, multiple gunshots rang out in the Brandermill neighborhood of Midlothian, Virginia. Chesterfield County Police were called to the 13600 block of Northwich Drive at about 3:29 a.m. and found 22-year-old Barry O. Jordan, a Black man who lived on Norwich Drive, suffering from a gunshot wound inside a vehicle. He was transported to a hospital and later pronounced dead.
Investigators quickly treated the case as an isolated incident and asked residents to review surveillance footage from roughly 3 a.m. to 4 a.m. The inquiry produced arrests: on April 11 detectives charged 29-year-old Markice D. Street of Dinwiddie with second-degree murder, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony and, later, shooting into an occupied vehicle. A second suspect, 26-year-old Lamont A. Jones of Petersburg, was charged on July 31 after his July 17 capture; he faces the same three charges. Police say both men were known to Jordan and are being held without bond at the Chesterfield County Jail.
Did anyone in Brandermill that night see or record anything that could help clarify what happened to Barry O. Jordan?
