Anesha Isaacs, 30, was fatally shot on March 15, 2024, in the parking lot of a medical office building on Woodburn Road in Annandale, Virginia, where she worked. Around 4:45 p.m. she called 911 from her car reporting that her ex-boyfriend was blocking her vehicle. While still on the line with the dispatcher, she was shot multiple times.
Officers found Isaacs with multiple gunshot wounds and she was transported to a local hospital, where she was pronounced dead. The suspect fled but was later identified as 30-year-old Tylen Jennings of Maryland. License plate readers tracked his vehicle toward Maryland; after coordination between Fairfax County and Prince George’s County police, Jennings was taken into custody and a firearm was recovered from his vehicle. He was charged with second-degree murder, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, abduction, and violating a protective order and is being held without bond pending extradition to Fairfax County. Court documents also show an arrest warrant for Jennings had been issued in November 2023 for allegedly assaulting and threatening Isaacs.
Anyone who knew Anesha, the couple’s relationship, or has information about events leading up to March 15 is asked to come forward.
