On the evening of February 13, 2024, deputies from the Accomack County Sheriff’s Office answered reports of gunfire on Stumpy Lane in Onancock, Virginia. They found 26-year-old Rashaun Anthony Brown suffering from gunshot wounds; he was pronounced dead at the scene and later ruled a homicide by the Norfolk Medical Examiner’s Office.

The shooting occurred shortly after 8:30 p.m.
