Keith David Passmore was 12 when he was shot and killed in Savannah, Georgia, on the night of November 22, 2014. He had been at a party in the 2200 block of Vicksburg Drive with about 30 people and was sitting in a parked truck with his older cousin, Christopher Martin, when an unknown person approached the vehicle, banged on the passenger door and demanded they open up. Martin started the truck to drive away; as he pulled off the assailant opened fire. Keith was taken to Memorial University Medical Center and died of his injuries.

Investigators say cooperation from many at the party was limited, and no arrests have been announced. The family believes Keith had begun associating with an older crowd and had tried to steer him away from those friendships. His mother, Tammy Carter, has made repeated public pleas for anyone with information to come forward; a cash reward for information leading to an arrest remains available.
