Ethan Wade March, 22, of Moberly, Missouri, was found dead at his home on County Road 2605 just south of Moberly on the afternoon of November 10, 2024. Deputies arrived about 5:15 p.m. and determined Ethan had suffered a fatal gunshot wound to the chest. Reports describe him as having a brilliant, contagious smile and being passionate about music and history; he was working toward his GED and enjoyed camping, floating rivers, and time with his large family and friends.
Investigators say the people responsible fled on foot. A manhunt with drone assistance led to two adolescents hiding in nearby woods; they were taken into custody about two hours after Ethan was found. The male, then 16, was charged in juvenile court with second-degree murder and robbery; the female, 15, was charged with hindering a felony prosecution. One report names the male as Da’Caveon Nelson and alleges he took Ethan’s gun and shot him.
Does anyone who knew Ethan or was in that neighborhood on November 10, 2024, have information that could help clarify what happened?
