Shortly before dawn on January 27, 2024, gunfire erupted near a small brick building on Waco Road in Kings Mountain, North Carolina, a spot locals said hosted late-night gatherings after bars closed. Officers arrived around 5 a.m. and found two people with critical gunshot wounds; two more victims later arrived at a hospital with gunshot injuries. Thirty-year-old Tyshem Daquan Sharpe died at the hospital from his wounds.

Witnesses described hearing multiple shots and chaotic attempts to help the injured. The Kings Mountain Police Department, assisted by the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation, opened a comprehensive investigation. On February 5, 2024, authorities charged 30-year-old Andre Lashawn Littlejohn, who had initially been treated as one of the injured, with first-degree murder and possession of a firearm by a felon.

Neighbors said late-night gatherings at the Waco Road location had become more frequent in the weeks before the shooting and raised concerns about disturbances and safety. If anyone was at the scene that morning or has information about the gatherings or the shooting, please share what is known.
