Carlo Hose Stanford Sr., 39, was shot dead at a residence on McKinnie Avenue in Stowe Township, Pennsylvania, in the early morning hours of November 3, 2024. Police found Stanford with multiple gunshot wounds at about 4:30 a.m.; he was pronounced dead at the scene. A witness at the residence told investigators that they and Stanford heard a noise, opened the front door, and discovered 34-year-old Curtis Horne-Baker hiding behind a porch pillar.
The witness said Horne-Baker kicked the door and fired seven to eight shots at Stanford. Horne-Baker was arrested later that day in Wilkinsburg and charged with criminal homicide, burglary, and firearms violations. Stanford was a Pittsburgh resident and the father of seven children: Carlos Jr., Carleigh, Adris, Shieara, Cianna, Kioni, and Charm; a memorial service was held November 13, 2024, at the Lighthouse Church in Pittsburgh.
If anyone in McKees Rocks or Stowe Township has information about what happened that morning, please share it with investigators.
