Timothy Brooks, a 24-year-old Black/African American man from Uniontown, Pennsylvania, was shot and killed in the early morning hours of August 3, 2024. Police say the shooting occurred shortly before 5 a.m. after an argument inside Club Lux on Morgantown Street reportedly spilled outside; Brooks was struck multiple times in vital areas and later died at WVU Uniontown Hospital. Fayette County Coroner Bob Baker ruled the death a homicide from multiple gunshot wounds.

Uniontown police and Fayette County investigators said they were interviewing witnesses and pursuing multiple leads. The club was reportedly crowded when the violence erupted and the owner of Club Lux was cooperating with investigators. No suspect had been publicly identified and no arrests were reported; authorities asked anyone with information to contact Uniontown City Police or Fayette County Crime Stoppers.
