On March 8, 2024, 40-year-old Michael Pruitt was fatally shot at the home of his girlfriend, Ronda Parker, in Springfield Township near Columbia Cross Roads, Pennsylvania. Terry then confronted Pruitt and shot him multiple times, killing him.

After the shooting, Terry and Ronda allegedly wrapped Pruitt’s body and put it in the trunk of Terry’s car. They traveled to Harrisburg and spent the night, later returning to Ronda’s residence the next day accompanied by Terry’s girlfriend, Summer Heil. At that location, Terry and Heil are accused of dismembering Pruitt’s body with an axe and burning the remains in a fire pit. Investigators reported finding human bones in the burn pit and blood droplets inside the house, some covered with fresh paint. Disturbing text messages prompted police to check the scene on March 11.

All three were arrested and charged: Terry and Ronda Parker with criminal homicide, tampering with physical evidence, and abuse of a corpse; Summer Heil with tampering with physical evidence and abuse of a corpse. They were arraigned and held without bail. Prosecutors allege Terry believed Pruitt had been sexually inappropriate in front of Ronda’s children, a motive that had not previously been reported to law enforcement.
