Rebecca Christine Stockton, 25, was found dead in her Murfreesboro apartment at Puckett Creek Crossing Apartments on the evening of February 15, 2023. Authorities determined the cause of death to be gunshot wounds after neighbors reported hearing gunfire and officers discovered her body in the living room following a 9-1-1 call. Reports indicate an argument may have preceded the shooting.

Police quickly focused on her 41-year-old boyfriend, Shaleem Hamilton, also known as Saleem Tamir Hamilton. He was located and arrested at a gas station in Corbin, Kentucky, on February 16, 2023, and charged with first-degree murder. He was held at the Whitley County Detention Center awaiting extradition to Tennessee. The State of Tennessee vs. Saleem Tamir Hamilton remains open with Detective Julie Cox leading the investigation.

If anyone knew Rebecca or was in the Puckett Creek Crossing area on February 15, did you observe anything that could help the investigation?
