Cesar Quezada, 43, was found fatally shot outside a family residence on the 3100 block of South Indianola Avenue in Sanger, California, on March 2, 2024, around 5:30 a.m. Deputies and emergency medical services attempted life-saving measures but Quezada was pronounced dead at the scene. Homicide detectives took over the investigation, gathering surveillance footage and interviewing people who knew him.
Investigators described the shooting as targeted rather than random. In August 2024 detectives released surveillance of a light-colored GMC or Chevrolet pickup truck they believe may be linked to the case. The truck was said to have discoloration on the passenger side of its extended cab, black rims, oversized tires and a loud exhaust. No arrests have been reported and detectives are asking anyone with information to contact Detective Juan Galindo or submit anonymous tips to Crime Stoppers; a $2,000 reward may be offered for information leading to an arrest.
If anyone knew Cesar, his movements that morning, or recognizes the truck, please share what you know with investigators.
