I just found out about Jacob's murder, and my thoughts are with his family and friends right now. I can't imagine the pain they're going through, especially knowing his little girl will grow up with such a void in her life. It breaks my heart to think about Ryder waiting for his walks that Jacob will never be able to take him on again.
It's extremely frustrating that this seems to be gang-related, and yet there doesn't seem to be much progress in identifying the perpetrators. It's concerning how little information is available on these male subjects seen fleeing the scene. Given Jacob's generous nature, I can't help but wonder if he knew his attacker or if he just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time.
If anyone happens to know anything about what they witnessed or overheard around Monterey Street that night, please consider reaching out to the authorities. Even the smallest detail could lead the police closer to finding these criminals and helping Jacob's family find some form of closure.
