On September 21, 2023, 24-year-old Alonna Gallon was shot and killed at the Toyota of Berkeley Service Center in Albany, California. The shooter, identified as 24-year-old Lamar Walker, was the father of Gallon’s 7-year-old son, King. The incident is classified as an act of domestic violence.
According to accounts, Walker first brought Gallon a coffee earlier that day, then returned around 11:15 a.m. armed with a handgun and shot her in the head at point-blank range, killing her instantly. Walker later attempted to take his own life but survived that attempt; officers found him on the second floor pointing a silver revolver and five officers fired, striking Walker. Both Gallon and Walker were pronounced dead at the scene. Family members have set up a GoFundMe to support King’s future needs.
Investigations by the Alameda County Sheriff’s Office, Albany Police Department, and the Alameda County District Attorney’s Office are ongoing. If anyone has information about Alonna, Lamar, or the events that morning, please share what is known with investigators.
