On September 19, 2023, deputies from the Victor Valley Sheriff’s Station responded to a report of suspicious circumstances at a home in the 32600 block of State Highway 18 in Lucerne Valley, California. They found 61-year-old Pierre Emile Antoine deceased inside the residence. The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Specialized Investigations Division – Homicide Detail took over the case.

Detectives determined that Antoine’s wife, identified in arrest records as Jennifer Raylynn Antoine (reported once as Jennifer Antoine), had shot and killed him inside the home. She was arrested on suspicion of murder the same day and booked into the High Desert Detention Center, held without bail. Authorities did not release any information about a possible motive.
