Amadeus Rain Miller-Ramos, 13, was fatally shot on July 18, 2023, in Oroville, California, while riding in a stolen vehicle with three other juveniles. The occupants then placed Amadeus’s body in a field near 18th Street and Tehama Avenue in Thermalito. Police found the stolen vehicle abandoned and gathered evidence indicating a shooting had occurred inside; detectives later located Amadeus’s body in the field.

The 16-year-old was arrested and charged with involuntary manslaughter and personal use of a firearm and was booked into Butte County Juvenile Hall. Court records show the juvenile admitted to the charges and the judge ordered him to remain in custody.

Does anyone have information about how the firearm entered the hands of these juveniles or other details that could help explain what happened?
