On January 28, 2023, at about 2:35 a.m., three women were fatally shot inside a vehicle parked outside a short-term rental in the 2700 block of North Ellison Drive in the Beverly Crest neighborhood of Los Angeles. The deceased were 33-year-old Iyana Hutton of Chicago, 29-year-old Nenah Davis of Bolingbrook, Illinois, and 26-year-old Destiny Sims of Buckeye, Arizona. Six other people were wounded; two were critically hurt and the others were stable.

The gathering had been organized by a group of young adults from Chicago who had traveled to Los Angeles to support a local rapper. They had spent the evening bowling and returned to the rental when an ambush-style attack unfolded. At least 30 rounds were fired and several vehicles fled the scene, including a blue four-door Tesla with damage to the passenger-side fender and no license plates.

LAPD detectives opened a major investigation and served a search warrant at an apartment in the 8600 block of Wilshire Boulevard in Beverly Hills; the residence was found unoccupied. Investigators reported links between the suspects and gang activity in Chicago and indicated the victims were not believed to be the intended targets.

If anyone knew Nenah Davis or was at the gathering that night, please share what might help the investigation.
