On January 1, 2023, 44-year-old Jimmie Wiedeman was found dead inside his home on Fox Lane in Lincoln, California, having suffered multiple gunshot wounds. Surveillance footage from inside the residence shows four people entering the house at about 1:30 p.m. that day; shortly after their entry Wiedeman was shot multiple times and the suspects left in a white pickup truck.

On December 28, 2023, the Placer County Sheriff’s Office, with help from the El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office, arrested 63-year-old Eric Olsen in El Dorado County in connection with Wiedeman’s death. Investigators say Olsen had earlier been convicted as an accessory to murder in a 2021 Yuba County case. The Placer County Sheriff’s Office says the probe is ongoing as detectives work to identify and locate additional suspects; no motive has been released.

If anyone has information about who was entering Wiedeman’s home that afternoon or who may have driven a white pickup away from Fox Lane, please come forward.
