On October 17, 2024, 51-year-old Tamhara Collazo of Lewisville, Texas, was found deceased in her home after a neighbor requested a welfare check. Authorities described the circumstances as suspicious and investigators reported signs of foul play, prompting an active homicide investigation.

The Lewisville Police Department carried out interviews with neighbors, family and acquaintances and forensic teams processed the scene and collected evidence. Officers say no arrests have been made and patrols in the neighborhood were increased while detectives pursue leads.
