On October 13, 2024, 24-year-old Gregory Lee Carrington Jr., known as GEE, was shot after leaving a Beaumont club called Tha Shack. A disturbance that started at the club moved onto the street, and Carrington collapsed in the parking lot of Honey’s Drive-In at the Exxon on Concord Road. He died at the scene despite efforts to save him.

Beaumont Police named 23-year-old Andre Williams II as the primary suspect; he turned himself in on October 14 after his picture was released and admitted he was not in the right state of mind when he pulled the trigger, expressing remorse. A Jefferson County grand jury indicted Williams II for first-degree murder on October 30, 2024.

Carrington, born December 20, 1999, was remembered as an outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing and hunting, a 2019 graduate of Beaumont United High School, and a contracted tractor operator at Jefferson County Drainage District 6. He is survived by two children, Gregory III and Remi Carrington.

Did anyone see activity near Tha Shack or the Honey’s Drive-In parking lot that morning that could help clarify what happened?
