On August 17, 2024, at about 2:30 a.m., officers responded to a shooting in the 1900 block of Beech Lane in Pampa, Texas. Two people with gunshot wounds were found and taken to Northwest Texas Hospital in Amarillo. Twenty-one-year-old Isaac Martin died of his injuries; a 16-year-old male was treated and listed in stable condition.

Later that day, 20-year-old Jaden Wagner of Pampa was detained in Borger and charged with murder and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon; he was booked into the Hutchinson County Jail. On August 20, 2024, a 16-year-old was arrested and charged with murder, two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, and possession of a stolen firearm; he was remanded to the Gray County Juvenile Probation Department. A Gray County grand jury later indicted Wagner on murder, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, and theft of a firearm.

Isaac Martin was born October 15, 2002, in Evansville, Indiana, and moved to Pampa in 2017. He enjoyed football, music, and time with family and friends; he had accepted Christ two days before his death. He is survived by his mother, stepfather, siblings, and fiancée; funeral services were held August 22, 2024.
