On April 10, 2024, at about 11:38 p.m., officers responded to a 911 report of a shooting at 901 S. Catherine Street in Terrell, Texas. The caller, 69-year-old Wendell Lancaster, told dispatch he had shot a woman he said had stolen his wallet. Responding officers found 40-year-old Breanna Mendosa suffering from gunshot wounds.
