I’ve been thinking a lot about the impact this has had on the Lewisville High School community. It’s such a close-knit environment, and I can’t even begin to imagine what the students and teachers are going through right now. I heard Skylar was well-liked and had big dreams in music – it’s just gut-wrenching to know his potential will never be realized.
It's been tough reading comments from classmates who shared memories and stories about him online. Their outpouring of love shows just how much Skylar meant to them. It breaks my heart to see them facing such a harsh reality at such an impressionable age. I hope that the school’s counseling services are able to provide the support and comfort that everyone needs to process this tragedy.
As much as we focus on the investigation and facts, let's not forget the emotional weight carried by those directly affected. Sending all my thoughts and prayers to Skylar’s family, friends, and the entire Lewisville community during this unbelievably difficult time.
I can’t even begin to imagine what Skylar’s family is going through right now. I read that his mom, Aleasha, mentioned he was passionate about music. It just made me think of how many dreams this young guy had that he’ll never get to see come true. Seeing all the support from the Lewisville community is so touching, though. The school district is offering counseling services, which I think is really crucial right now. Kids shouldn’t have to deal with this kind of trauma. I hope this tragedy sparks more conversations about preventing youth violence. It's heartbreaking to see a life cut short like this, and my heart goes out to Skylar's family and friends.
