Christopher James De Leon, 27, was found dead from gunshot wounds on July 25, 2023, on the 200 block of Adams Street in Laguna Heights, Texas. The Cameron County Sheriff’s Office described signs of foul play and opened a homicide investigation.

Born August 1, 1995, in McAllen, Texas, he enjoyed time at the beach with family and friends. He is survived by his mother Shannon Colvin; father James John De Leon; brothers Colvin Wiltse and John Daniel De Leon; and grandparents Larry and Leticia Colvin, and James and Adela De Leon. A GoFundMe was set up to help with funeral expenses.
