I just can't stop thinking about how incredible a person Pops Fatayri was. I never had the chance to meet him, but the stories people in Terrell have shared about his generosity really speak to his character. Giving gas or food to those who couldn't afford it – what a true guardian of the community. It's gut-wrenching to know that someone so kind and giving faced such a violent end. I hope the community can come together to honor his legacy, perhaps by setting up a fund or program to continue his acts of kindness. It's a small way to keep his spirit alive and show that evil can't overshadow the light he brought into this world. Sending love to his family and friends during this incredibly challenging time.
