Zavier Wright, 25, was fatally shot in Crosby, Texas, on January 21, 2023, during a domestic dispute at a home on Spectacled Bear Lane. Deputies say the shooting happened about 3:40 a.m. after Wright returned home and was confronted by his wife over alleged infidelity; she reportedly admitted to deputies that she shot him. Wright was flown to Hermann Hospital Medical Center but died of his injuries. Deputies found a handgun in Wright’s waistband and another on the kitchen table. Wright, his wife, and their two children had been living in the residence owned by his parents. Wright’s mother told investigators she had seen her daughter-in-law armed the evening before the shooting.

A murder charge was initially accepted and the wife was taken into custody, but officials later determined there was insufficient probable cause to file murder charges and released her; the matter was referred to a grand jury and remains under investigation. What information can anyone with knowledge of the household or that night share to help clarify what happened?
