Anyone else just heartbroken for Jessinya's family? I can't stop thinking about her kids and the hole this will leave in their lives. I came across her sister, Jessica's, GoFundMe page earlier, and it just hit me so hard. It's such a tight-knit family from what I'm reading, and losing her must be devastating for them. It's so important for people to understand the consequences of leaving firearms unsecured, especially with kids around. I hope this tragedy becomes a wake-up call for others to store weapons safely. The fact that Jessinya specifically requested no guns in the home makes this all the more painful to bear. I can't imagine how her family is coping with it all. If you can, please support their GoFundMe or share it. It feels like the least we can do to honor her memory and support those little ones left behind.

It's truly hard to grasp the depth of loss that Mina's family must be feeling right now. As a mom myself, I can't imagine the mix of emotions—anger, sadness, and disbelief. I'm especially struck by what her sister, Jessica, shared about Mina's wishes for a gun-free home. It makes it seem like this could have been avoided if circumstances were different. I'm aware that many might immediately jump to blame Andrew Sanchez, and while his decision to leave the gun unsecured was clearly a significant misstep, it's important to remember that he's an 18-year-old dealing with unimaginable guilt. Our collective focus should be on creating stricter protocols for firearm inspections and storage to stop these tragedies from happening again. Hopefully, the discussions this case sparks can lead to real change. Sending love and strength to Mina’s family, especially her young children, during this incredibly tough time.
