Jeffery Robbins, 41, was found dead from an apparent gunshot wound early on December 14, 2024, in the 1200 block of Southwest Shorewood Drive inside Rainbow Lakes Estates near Dunnellon, Florida. Deputies from the Marion County Sheriff’s Office discovered Robbins at about 3 a.m.; he lived in Inverness and worked as a Plant Manager at Donau Carbon Company in Dunnellon. He was known to enjoy racing, boating, and hunting.

Major Crimes detectives with MCSO opened an investigation and have interviewed everyone involved, but as of December 15 no arrests had been announced and authorities had not released a motive or further details.
