Frantzy Jeanty, 54, was found dead inside his Brockton apartment at 125 Pleasant Street on the afternoon of November 22, 2024. Police responded about 3:23 p.m. to a 911 report of an unresponsive man with visible bleeding; officers discovered Mr. Jeanty deceased from multiple gunshot wounds. He worked as a security guard for Allied Security, was born in Cap-Haitien, Haiti, and was the son of Resuma Jeanty of Brockton. He is survived by a daughter who lives in Florida.
Investigators reviewed nearby parking-lot surveillance that showed a white Audi and two people in dark clothing with face coverings identified as 23-year-old Rivaldo Jean and 21-year-old Imani Cort. Prosecutors say the footage depicts a coordinated home invasion: Jean climbed a fire escape and entered through a second-floor window, propped a rear door to let Cort inside, and then allegedly forced entry at apartment 6A; gunshots followed and Jean was seen leaving with a suitcase believed to contain a small safe with thousands of dollars. Cort was arrested November 23 in Middleborough; Jean was arrested November 25 in Dorchester. Both were charged with murder, armed home invasion, breaking and entering, and larceny; Jean faces additional firearm charges. At arraignment on November 25 both pleaded not guilty and were held without bail; the case was pending trial as of November 2024.
If anyone knew Mr. Jeanty or has information about his movements or the events around November 22, please share what is known.
