On the morning of December 21, 2024, Juan Perry, 37, of Okolona was found dead in his vehicle at the Busy Bee Convenience store on Romie Hill Avenue in Shannon, Mississippi. Police were called about 9:18 a.m. for a person slumped over in a car; officers found Perry’s vehicle riddled with bullet holes and determined he had died of multiple gunshot wounds. The Shannon Police Department, led by Chief Anthony Rogers, opened a homicide investigation and reviewed surveillance footage from the area.
Investigators asked the public to help identify witnesses and persons of interest, including the drivers of a small white car and a red or orange Chevrolet Camaro seen near the scene. Friends and family described Perry as a good person and a dear friend. If anyone saw activity around the Busy Bee on the morning of December 21 or has information about the vehicles or people seen there, please come forward.
