Koritnik Sonnoll Graves, known as Ko, was a 52-year-old Gulfport resident who was killed on November 26, 2024. Officers responding to reports of a shooting at a home in the 550 block of Graves Avenue found Graves and 50-year-old Elena Davis in the living room; both had sustained multiple gunshot wounds and were pronounced dead at the scene. The Harrison County coroner confirmed their identities.
Reporting says Graves had been sheltering Davis at his mother’s house after she sought protection from her husband, Christopher Antoine Davis. In the weeks before the killings, Davis had reportedly filed a protective order and was said to be fearful; witnesses alleged earlier threats and an attempted arson at her address. Investigators identified Christopher Antoine Davis as the primary suspect, accused of entering the Graves Avenue residence with a firearm, shooting the two victims, and fleeing. A search for him ended on November 28, 2024, when police located and took him into custody.
Graves was born December 13, 1971, grew up in Gulfport, graduated Gulfport High School in 1990, played wide receiver at the University of Houston, and was a noted Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu competitor. His funeral was held December 6, 2024, at First Missionary Baptist Church of Handsboro. If anyone knew Ko, his routines, or the circumstances that led him to shelter Elena Davis, please share what can help the investigation.
