Shortly after midnight on December 8, 2024, 30-year-old Quinton Lee Gray was found unresponsive inside his home on Sweet Amy Lane in La Grange, North Carolina. Deputies from the Lenoir County Sheriff’s Office responded to reports of a gunshot victim and discovered Gray had sustained multiple gunshot wounds; he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Sheriff Jackie Rogers said investigators believe this was a targeted shooting and indicated there is no ongoing threat to the public. No arrests have been announced and authorities have not publicly identified any suspects. Gray was a father of two; an online memorial has been set up and funeral arrangements are being handled by S. Connor Memorial Funeral Home in Farmville, with a private family service planned.
