Michael Albert Dojaquez, 45, was found fatally shot on his front porch in Tucson on September 26, 2003. A well-regarded yoga instructor who taught at Yoga Oasis, he lived on North Sparkman Boulevard near North Country Club and East Grant Roads. Family remembered him as a joyful presence who took his daughter Brianna to the Gaslight Theatre and the renaissance fair.

Investigators determined Dojaquez had been involved in an extramarital affair with a 30-year-old student, Amber Lynn Trudell, who was arrested in New York in November 2003 and returned to Tucson on a first-degree murder charge. Trudell said an argument followed when she told Dojaquez she wanted to return to her husband and alleged he assaulted her, then that he grabbed her hand and forced her pistol to his head. Her first trial ended with a hung jury; a later trial resulted in a conviction for second-degree murder and a 13-year sentence on October 18, 2005. His mother Lydia and his daughters spoke at sentencing about their loss.

Did anyone who knew Michael at Yoga Oasis or in the neighborhood notice changes in his life or relationships before September 26, 2003?
