DeMontray Hall, 32, was shot and killed in Magnolia, Arkansas on the night of November 12, 2022. Police were called shortly before midnight to a residence on Smith Street and found Hall in the yard; he was taken to Magnolia Regional Medical Center and pronounced dead. Hall was originally from Shreveport, Louisiana. His death was the first homicide reported in Magnolia in 2022.

Magnolia Police opened a homicide investigation and say evidence from the scene and follow-up inquiries pointed investigators toward a suspect. On December 12, 2022, 32-year-old Rico Rose of Magnolia was arrested and held without bond as the identified suspect in Hall’s murder.
