A dispute over a mobile home in Heth, Arkansas, turned deadly on September 2, 2018, when 52-year-old Donald Dishon was shot during an armed confrontation. The conflict began as a legal battle after Dishon purchased a mobile home from 45-year-old Travis Pulliam and Pulliam later repossessed it through court action. Pulliam had hired people to clean out the trailer; Dishon reportedly confronted them with a gun and forced them to leave.
Pulliam arrived after receiving calls from his employees and after contacting the Sheriff’s Department. Witnesses say a gunfight broke out; Dishon was hit in the back while attempting to run and fell. Pulliam then allegedly approached and fired additional shots, returned to his truck to reload, and was still at the scene when deputies arrived about 4:45 p.m. Dishon was airlifted but later died of multiple gunshot wounds. Pulliam was taken into custody at the scene and initially booked on a First Degree Battery charge; officials expected charges to be upgraded after Dishon’s death.
Did anyone in the area witness the confrontation or know more about the ownership dispute over the mobile home?
