On the morning of August 26, 2018, at about 10:16 a.m., officers in Pine Bluff responded to a shooting at 19th and Amis Street and found 29-year-old Raymond Buchanan with multiple gunshot wounds. He had been shot in the left abdomen and shoulder and was lying on his side; he was slightly conscious but could not communicate. EMS transported him to a hospital, where he died shortly after surgery.

A witness working in a backyard reported hearing the shots and seeing Buchanan run toward the back of the residence before collapsing. That witness also reported seeing a newer model black Chevrolet Impala with out-of-town license plates speed away east on 18th Avenue. The witness’s dog was later found shot in the head at the front of the residence. No motive had been identified and the investigation was described as ongoing.

Did anyone in the area on August 26, 2018, see the Impala or other suspicious activity near 19th and Amis Street?
