Lawrence Williamson, a 39-year-old Black man from Forrest City, Arkansas, was fatally shot in the early morning hours of Father’s Day, June 17, 2018. The shooting took place about 2:45 a.m. outside Club Envy after an altercation that began inside the club reportedly spilled outside; Williamson was struck multiple times and died at the scene.
Williamson was a father of three daughters and a Forrest City High School graduate. He worked for Food Giant and West Tree Services before founding his own lawn care business, L&L Lawn Service. Family remembered him as caring, helpful and beloved in the community.
The Forrest City Police Department opened a homicide investigation, but no arrests or suspects have been publicly named. Does anyone who was at Club Envy that night or who knew Lawrence have information that could help bring answers?
