JaMarius Raymon Lewis, 21, was found dead from a gunshot wound along a walkway at the Turtle Creek Apartments on North Slemmons Street in Monticello, Arkansas. His body was discovered on April 10, 2018, and the Arkansas State Police assisted the Monticello Police Department in the homicide investigation.

Lewis had been released from the Drew County jail the day before his death after serving since the previous November on aggravated robbery-related charges that were later reduced to aggravated assault; he was sentenced to five years of probation and released Monday afternoon, only hours before he was killed early the next morning.

Two local men were arrested in connection with the slaying: 25-year-old Shawn Binns and 31-year-old Keddrin Walls. Both were charged with first-degree murder, held at the Drew County detention facility, and a judge set bond at $500,000 each as they awaited initial court appearances.

Did anyone in Monticello see JaMarius the evening of his release or have information about what happened at Turtle Creek Apartments that night?
