Shortly after midnight on May 26, 2017, deputies with the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office responded to a shooting on Private Road 3555 in rural Clarksville, Arkansas. Officers found 38-year-old Donald Skidmore, a White male, deceased outside his home. The Johnson County Coroner and investigators processed the scene and Skidmore’s body was sent to the Arkansas State Medical Examiner’s Office in Little Rock for autopsy to establish the official cause of death.
Friends and family described Skidmore as a talented tattoo artist and a good friend. Billy Martin was at the scene, identified as a suspect, and taken into custody at the Johnson County Detention Center. The investigation remained ongoing pending autopsy results and inquiries into motive.
If anyone knew Skidmore, his routines, or has information about what happened that night, please come forward.
